Care and cleaning

Nail cutters are usually made of stainless steel but can also be made of plastic and aluminium. Two common varieties are the plier type and the compound lever type. All are common household objects. Most nail cutters usually come with another tool attached, which is used to clean the dirt out of nails. A nail trimmer often has a miniature file fixed to it to allow rough edges of nails to be manicured. A nail file allows for removal of any excess nail that is jagged or has been missed. Nail cutters occasionally come with a pocket knife or a nail catcher.

Proper technique
One of the biggest beauty mistakes you can make is using your nail clippers to shape your nails. Too often, women use clippers to cut notches at the end of each nail for a more rounded shape. But cutting this way could leave you with cracks and even ingrown toenails when used on your feet. When using nail clippers, always cut straight across the nail and then use a file to create the shape you want.

Whatever products you use, we recommend that on occasion you use the 3-way buffer. You simply will not believe your eyes (Trind Nail-Magic).

Most people never massage their nails because they don’t know why they should. When you shampoo your hair the directions on the bottle read “massage into scalp”. By doing this you activate the production of your own natural oil on the scalp. This is then absorbed by the hollow and dry hair, which gives you an improved quality of hair. However, the structure of the nail is the same as you hair. The nail is made up of 3 layers of horn cells. Between those layers is natural oil that keeps the nail supple. By all kinds of circumstances we put our nails through a lot of stress (whether, detergents, etc.) thus evaporating the natural nail oil. The nail may become brittle and dried out.
Pamper your nails once in a while (every 4 weeks is best) with the Nail-Magic© of Trind. Continue reading »
