For those clients looking for a little extra something this holiday season, this design may be just the ticket. Regardless of your skill level, get in the spirit of the season with this festive design.

Apply a layer of red glitter acrylic to the entire nail.

Using green colored acrylic, create a stylized Christmas tree.

Create a tree base and ornaments using colored acrylics. Add a Mylar star at the top of the tree.

Cap the nails in clear acrylic and buff to a high shine. At each corner of the nail create half of a poinsettia flower.

Independence Day brings out the Yankee Doodle in many nail art-loving clients. No matter your skill level, these red, white, and blue designs are sure to get them in the 1776 spirit.

Apply one coat of sheer blue gel. Next, dab white gel across the nail tip to form puffy clouds. Cure for 10 seconds.

Create the white background of the flag, then cure for one minute. Add a blue slanted square in the top left corner of the flag. Begin adding red stripes.

April showers may bring May flowers — but your clients don’t have to wait that long. Perk up their nails with the flora and fauna of spring. No matter your skill level, get in the spirit of the season with fun, colorful designs.

Lay down blue acrylic almost to the free edge. Add a tan color as the sand.

Begin design work on the sea plants. The acrylic should be drier than normal and applied in a painting motion.

Add the fish, dolphin, and fine detail work.

When your clients go on vacation they won’t have to worry about feeding this fish – he can go right along with them. No matter your skill level, add a little tropical flavor with this fun, underwater design.

On a dry, crystal-white basecoat, create a blend of yellow and red in the bottom left corner and place a negative precut seaweed mask.

Blend blue and turquoise, staying lighter on top. Remove the negative seaweed mask. Create the fish body using a darker accent.

Using the positive precut stripe mask, create the stripes across the fish with magenta, accented at the bottom with blue and covered with blue sparkle. Continue reading »
